Post boxes at the end of the drive instead of a letter box in the door.
Conducive to neighbourly interaction; brief, enforced communions with nature; and to creativity.
All spotted last week between Dunedin and Geraldine whilst having a few days away.
Cool aye!

ohhhhhh I do so love Geraldine xxx and funky post boxes
ReplyDeleteDo let me know if you ever come to Auckland
I was going to ask which one was yours...I love them Max, thanks for sharing. I always thought a collection of mail boxes would make an interesting coffee table book...
ReplyDeleteHello again ::))
ReplyDeleteYou're set as no reply @ blogger so I couldn't email you and I so wanted to let you know I GET the washing and pegs thing! I'm the SAME and as for my wardrobe and the pantry LOL . . .
How unusual! Great photographs.

Very cool! I want to make over my letterbox now :-)
ReplyDeleteThese are brilliant! Just found your blog and glad I did! Em x
ReplyDeleteWow they are some pretty cool letter boxes! I never see cool ones around where I live.
ReplyDeleteE :)
These make my rectangular hole in the door look completely pathetic!
ReplyDeleteKylie is right about that book - why don't you do it?
Cat-I'll definatly let you know if we do, we have vague plans to go to waiheke for a week or so in Feb...:0)
ReplyDeleteEm-sadly there appear to be no cool ones in my town either. I think it would be a great draw card for our town so I might suggest a competition to our local mayor/mens shed group!
Kylie and Luce-I have seen an NZ book on the topic. It had a picture of a post box on Banks peninsular with a normal post box at normal hight, then an 'airmail box' about 6 feet up!
Hi Mimi...or Tilly *waves*
I have the most boring mail box ever, its very 10 downing street-ie black. considering a make-over...hmmm x
