claudina ballerina

her love for an ungainly green dinosaur called Dorothy was the pathway we think into clauds first genuine, independent of parental influence interest, ballet. hence only 5 weeks after starting classes she performed in her first show with an astonishing seriousness, concentration and quietness. the lady in the shop where we bought her ballet gear told us it was traditional to give ballerinas a present and flowers after the performance. we felt a little over the top being the ONLY parents treating their wee one like a prima ballerina post show. but she is to us.

  2. Awww I remember these moments so well with my own two when they were little (and big too, one of them danced until she was 18!)
Now I know what to send Miss Claudie for her birthday.

p.s. I love that pic of all the little bumble bees x

  3. Hee hee cute little ballerina! Iris wants to do ballet - I haven't spoken a word that gave her any idea about it - her desire materialised on its own!! Nature, not nurture methinks! I like the flowers idea.

  7. What beautiful little bumblebees! Dorothy has a lot to answer for in our house too and we are in a swirl of tulle, hairspray, ribbons and tights as we hurtle towards this years performance next Saturday. Watching them dance is always special.
