free printable invites from belle and boo

pin the tail on the donkey has morphed into pin the pom-pom on the bunny. printed on a tea towel mainly cause, in the manner of previous lollystick overstocking, i have a million of them to use up. luckily the real life bunny, a netherland dwarf, white with pink ears as specified after a little negotiation (from pink-all-over) who is living secretly in our back yard until the big day, is not as misshapen as my representation. in fact she is cute, white furry perfection; super-friendly and cuddly; and does tidy poos in one corner of her cage (i'm hoping she can teach claud, the cats and the hedgehogs whom are all going everywhere in some bizarre spring madness, a thing or two).
pass-the-parcel wrappings courtesy of a month of clauds playcentre paintings. party dress staining iceblocks from wild cherries and blackboy peaches picked last summer and discovered in the depths of the freezer this week.
here are some of the other party preparations
anyway enough about rabbits and poo. are you missing her library adventures fleamarket finds? i am. so i thought i'd have a crack at my own. i mean i buy enough second hand stuff to keep a linky afloat single-handedly, so, let see if it loads/anyone wants to play along etc, etc... if your keen, grab the button!

max I think you are perfect for hosting an op-shop finds post. Be sure to let Cat know you are doing it too because she is organising and promoting all the KMB linkies. I will try and link in before the end of the year
ReplyDeleteyour so encouraging, thanks lovely.
Deletedo you mean 'our' cat (as in catalinas cottage?).
i look forward to seeing you linky up, i know you have an excelletn op-shoppy eye Miriam
max x
All i do is opshop and today in particular found some beauties. What is it we need to do?
ReplyDeletethats ace! the linky is all up and running now, just post about your finds on your blog, then click on the blue 'click to enter' message at the end of the post and it will lead you through the 3 easy steps to link up your post x
DeleteHehe, how do you hide a bunny in the back yard, yours must be jungle-like!! Also love that you had to bargain on the colour of the bunny! Good that she's a pooping in corner type too. What we have done for ours which might help with the cleaning, is put a plastic plant tray in the corner (with a stone on it to prevent Clyde throwing his litter tray around)the type seedlings are grown in, which is litter tray size. Then bunny does her business in the tray and you just need to tip it out into the compost heap. No shovelling required!! And I'd be keen to link in with the op shopping too! S:)
ReplyDeleteit is a wee bit weedy...but no we've re-sown the lawn so it's fenced off from claud trampling temporarily! great tip re the tray and i have just the thing. i would love to oogle your finds, so DO link up, it's all up and running now x

ReplyDeletei know!!!! it induces serious baby talk the likes of which has not been known around her since clauds babyhood!
DeleteOh yes I am so missing the link ups! As for brush trees, I am a fen of pipe cleaner trees - only with the fluffy cleaners rather than the tinsel ones. They are so easy.
ReplyDeletefluffy pipe cleaners? thanks for the tip!

I definitely will our Cat! i'm going to call it 'the op-shop show-off' and i'll post the linky weekly. i'll try my hand at making a button over the hols (gulp!). be great to have a kiwi-based linky, us kiwis are such keen and clever thrifters after all x
DeleteHello Sweet!!! Pinning a pom-pom on a bunny has to be the best thing ever, I so wished I could play.
ReplyDeleteYou are going to have one very excited little birthday girl when she is given that beautiful wee bundle of fur!
Love and squirrel hugs V
i know she is just going to 'melt' when she see that bunny. feel free to come and play, it's open house for all bunnies, squirrels and deer!
DeleteI did a pin the pirate on the parrot game for my son's 3rd birthday, but bunnies and pom poms are cuter! Hope the crazy poo situation improves soon! Your real bunny, while not pink, will definitely be the most treasured gift Claud receives, I'm sure! xxx
ReplyDeleteThat's wrong - pin the parrot on the pirate, is what I meant! And the pirate was a blown up photo of Owen dressed up as a pirate. His big sister scribbled on it, her first - and hopefully only - act of vandalism... xxx
ReplyDeletei love the sound of that big photo, what a great idea!
DeleteFantastic blog and here is a Liebster Award for your blog. Go here to see what the award is about.http://melindascreativewishes.blogspot.com.au/
ReplyDeleteoh thank you!
DeleteBunnies and fly agaric, two of my favourites things! That little white poppet is adorable!
ReplyDeleteand don't they go well together (asethetically speaking) x
DeleteI love your bunny scene, Max! x
ReplyDeleteExcited to see the Op-Shop Show off link. Will have to get op-shopping. Missed the other link too. Cx
