I like this world map stamp as a maptastic bit of decorative treen, but I'm also thinking wrapping paper; Claud colouring in-geography lessons, and, maybe, even, wallpaper...!?
Nah, I'd never get away with it, much as I'd like!
What would you do with it?

(when the Ellice is. became Tuuvalu but the Gilbert Is. had not yet become Kirabati-in 1979)

ReplyDeleteyou know what, i reckon if we traced this one onto some copy paper we could print it onto lino and cut one out for you, we could even add some imaginary places, like narnia, atlantis, etc!

ReplyDeletei got it at the mayfield second hand shop, i dont think i'vbe met anyone yet who has been there and left empty handed and i would say its the best one in the south island so if you ever drive south from christchurch do go there x
DeleteThat map stamp should become the logo for everything you do, maybe make a stripy ink pad so it comes out multi-coloured. It's brilliant!

DeleteOH my gosh! "Stamping is in the air." I LOVE the giant map stamp! How big is it? Wrapping paper galore! I got a giant roll of news print once, from the old Press building, the roll is still going... wrapping paper for the next 5 years - sorted! they might sell them/give them away for free at the Press building near the airport. What an awesome find!
ReplyDeleteit's a wee bit smaller than a5. great idea re the paper rolls, will get the bloke to pick me one up on his way home, and i scored a massive roll of brown craft paper at the oppy which'll do a grand job too x
